About Hyperthermics AS
Hyperthermics AS is a Norwegian biotechnological company with its head office in Ulsteinvik, Norway, and a laboratory in Regensburg, Germany. Firstly, the business idea is to develop and construct fast-working plants for breaking down and converting different types of biomass in processes at an operating temperature of 80°C, based on micro-organisms and bacteria from extreme environments beneath the seabed.
The benefits are commercial products with a green profile, for example, protein powder, biogas, and soil improving agents. As a customer-orientated specialist, it is heavily focused on R&D and proximity to the individual customer and operating organization.
Finally, Hyperthermics’ founder, Jan Remmereit, had long been interested in geology’s early stages of life. This helped him with his biology work, searching for sulfur substituted omega-3 fatty acids – an anaerobic version of omega 3, adapted to oxygen-free environments and metabolisms.
