After six years as CEO of the Norwegian Seafood Council, Renate Larsen has communicated her resignation to the boards Chairperson, Marianne E. Johnsen. The organization highlights the decision was hers alone, and she will remain in position throughout her notice six-month notice period.
“I had hoped to keep Renate Larsen for a while longer, but at the same time understand that there is a time for everything and that she now wants to explore other possibilities”, says Marianne E. Johnsen.
Renate, on the other hand, has given a very positive assessment of her time with the organization. “I have had six fantastic and exciting years with the Norwegian Seafood Council. I have had the privilege to work with a competent and adaptable organization that I will miss. There is a time for everything, and it feels that the time is right for me to do something else”, she says. However, Larsen has not disclosed her future. “I will not be going from the Norwegian Seafood Council straight into a new job. Now I want to spend some time thinking about the next steps in my career”, states the still Norwegian Seafood Council’s CEO.
