Kate Stenerud is the new Commercial Director for salmon of Benchmark. The company appointed her in May, but now she has officially taken the role.
This position is an integral part of the company’s new strategy to go forward in sales of genetic and health products within the aquaculture industry. The objective of the sales department is to focus more comprehensively on the sales and marketing of the company’s Atlantic salmon-related products. Therefore, this formula leads to the continuous growth of the company and, in it, Stenerud was a crucial part.
Thus, Stenerud takes over commercial responsibility from Geir Olav Melingen, who officially became the new head of Benchmark Genetics yesterday.
Melingen stated that “Kate has proven to be a strong candidate for this role, and we are delighted to have her take on this new responsibility. Her contribution will continue the great work that has been done in genetics and health for salmon worldwide.”
Stenerud has extensive experience. She has worked closely with the global sales team and the regional customer responsibility in Southern Norway.
