Ocean 14 Capital to partner with aquaculture start-ups implicated with UN sustainable program

Ocean 14 Capital Limited, the London-based investment adviser to Ocean 14 Capital Fund 1 SCSP, will create a portfolio of 20 to 25 holdings that work in sustainable aquaculture, sustainable fisheries, alternatives to fish protein, seaweed, and circular plastics. The fund consists of Pontos Aqua, Blue Marine Foundation, and Vedra Partners founders, scientists, marine biologists, and impact investors.

All of these growth phase companies work to achieve the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 14: Life Below Water. Already, the agreement incorporates the European Investment Fund, Chr. Augustinus Fabrikker, Minderoo Foundation, and The Rising Tides Fund by Builders Vision.

The aim of Goal 14 is to protect oceans by eliminating pollution and overfishing, start to responsibly manage and, protect all marine life around the world. Life below water is one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals established by the United Nations in 2015.
